As of January 2019, there are more than 3.1 million women with a history of breast cancer in the U.S. In 2019, an estimated 268,600 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in women and about 2,670 new cases in men, in the U.S.*

This month, we are teaming up with a charity that is dedicated to supporting the victims and survivors of cancer, and their loved ones. Approximately 1 in 8 women develop breast cancer over the course of their lifetime*, making it highly likely that many of us have someone in our lives affected by this disease.

Gilda’s Club of South Florida provides services to 4,500 members of the South Florida community, completely free of charge. They provide education and support as well as networking and social opportunities for members of the community that allow them to seek out connection and surround themselves with encouragement while they navigate their illness and the cancer treatment process.

What we truly love most about GCSF is that it’s inclusive to everyone coping with the presence of cancer in their lives whether they are the one directly affected or supporting someone who is.

GCSF programs range from support groups facilitated by licensed professionals to health and fitness classes, social programming and child-centered activities, providing outlets of support and friendship for community members coming from all backgrounds.
